YCA Associate

Vic was born in 1976 and resides in Shanghai China. In 1998, he received a well earned Bachelor's Degree in Interior and Furniture Design at the Northeast Forestry University, at Harbin in Northern China. Eager to apply his discipline, Vic started designing furniture at a rapid pace, at Shanghai Ocean Furniture Co.Ltd., of Shanghai.

After 2 years, Vic's full on practical experience in furniture design allowed him to more understand and respect the complexities of Yacht interiors, creating the need to grow from a design standpoint.

In 2000 Vic joined the auspicious Interior Design Team at Yantai Raffles Shipyard creating innovative interior designs for the 88 meter pro Asian Lady, now based in Singapore. Given design freedom by his employer, as well the yacht's owner, Vic was able to blend his technical know how, with his ability to "think outside the box", playing an important role in creating a splendid interior. Other important roles in the job included developing and managing design data bases and construction procedures, vital to a project of this size.

In 2004, with Asian Lady completed, Vic joined the ranks of the popular Shanghai Double Happiness Yacht Co. Ltd. Again Vic rose to the occasion of designing well thought out and cost effective interiors, playing an important role in that companies project management. His tools include AutoCAD, CATIA, Rhino, 3DS MAX and Photoshop. Vic's abilities in conversational and technical English, create a comfortable conversation, eliminating error and frustration common to Chinese / Western 3rd party translation.

Presently Vic and his team continue to create new yacht furniture and overall interior designs, playing an important role with YCA.
